Deburr Technician
Job Summary
Our Deburr Technician role is an entry role into manufacturing with Burger & Brown Engineering, Inc. This role requires accuracy, attention to detail, and the ability to continuously grasp and manipulate small nonmetal parts.
Job Duties
Essential Functions
- Be capable of performing all aspects of the Deburr Technician, working with other employees as part of a team, and be prompt and on time daily for work.
- Work safely and adhere to Burger & Brown’s safety policies.
- Willingness to take direction from area supervision and follow that direction.
- Have the ability and desire to become efficient with part recognition and learn all aspects of job as required.
- Ability to utilize a microscope for work process and parts inspections.
- Capability to buff, deburr, and wash nonmetal part as needed.
- Ability to cross train on various processes.
- Ability to perform visual inspections.
- Verify dimensions, alignments, and clearances of finished parts for conformance to specifications, using measuring instruments such as calipers or micrometers.
- Use measuring devices to ensure material specifications.
- Performs quality control inspections on finished products.
- Trouble shoot and perform minor adjustments.
- Maintains equipment and ensures work area is always clean and safe.
- Continually demonstrates a productive and non-disruptive work ethic.
- Ability to perform multiple tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously while performing various other duties as assigned.

Job Specifications
- H.S. diploma or GED required, prefer vocational school or apprenticeship
- Experience in using manual tools and machines
- Must have a positive attitude with a demonstrated ability for to troubleshoot
- Knowledge of metal properties and other material
- Excellent manual dexterity, accuracy and attention to detail
- Excellent communication and teambuilding skills
Physical Specifications
- Standing for extended periods on hard surfaces
- Physical stamina and strength to lift heavy items, up to 50lbs
- Ability to grasp and manipulate small parts for up to 8 hours
- Continuous movement; reaching, pulling, lifting, bending, stooping, standing
- Visual abilities: close and distant vision, color vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus
