Smartflow® Assembly Lead

Job Summary

Our experienced SmartFlow Lead Assembler will have previous manufacturing experience related to logistics, shipping/receiving, inventory management, quality control as well as service level mindset. This vital role is responsible for solidifying the relationship and team collaboration across departments in support of all Burger & Brown, Inc.’s products and services.

Essential Functions

  • Lead and manage Smartflow Assembly; overseeing multiple employees, ensuring all product conforms or exceeds standard operating procedures and assembly to deliver a quality product on time.
  • Meet with associates and leadership regularly to communicate news and status of business objectives.
  • Create, maintain and manage (SOP’s) for departmental & training success(es)
  • Assists in day to day troubleshooting and resolutions.
  • Support and drive the success of Global Shop Solutions Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system
  • Oversees all packing/kitting; monitors inventory for accuracy and ensures production demand is met.
  • Meet personal, department and company performance objectives for productivity, quality, and strive for continuous improvement.
  • High level of involvement and problem solving, in managing all aspects of customer and company expectations.
  • Identify and prioritize outbound goods and coordinate scheduling accordingly.
  • Count, sort, and/or weigh inbound goods to ensure accurate receipt of items.
  • Communicate with production and inventory control departments to resolve discrepancies .
  • Perform cycle counts and work with production control to manage discrepancies.
  • Order packing supplies for the Smartflow department.
  • Ability perform multiple tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously while performing various other duties as assigned.

Job Specifications

  • Minimum of high school diploma, preferred associates or bachelor’s degree
  • 5+ years’ experience in the manufacturing and/or production industry(ies)
  • 3+ years as a lead, supervisor, manager or other leadership role(s)
  • Working knowledge of computers and related programs (i.e. MS Office, Global Shop Solutions ERP, etc.)
  • Must have a positive attitude with a demonstrated ability to troubleshoot and resolve problems
  • Excellent communication and teambuilding skills
  • Working knowledge of common office equipment such as copier, scanner, printer, etc.

Physical Specifications

  • Standing for extended periods on hard surfaces
  • Physically working in both manufacturing and office environments.
  • Regular physical movement and exertion to meet box assembly demands
  • Continuous movement; reaching, pulling, lifting, bending, stooping, standing
  • Ability to lift products 10-50 lbs regularly, extensive frequency and time
  • Frequent use of stairs, uneven ground and obstructed pathways.
  • Use of packaging materials, tools, sharp objects, adhesives and boxes
