Welder / Fabricator
Job Summary
Our Welder / Fabricator role is part of our overall manufacturing capabilities at Burger & Brown Engineering, Inc. This role requires attention to detail, patience and thinking through the process and the end use of products to be successful.
Essential Functions
- Performs and operates all types of welding equipment including MIG, TIG, and flame cutting equipment.
- Weld components in flat, vertical, or overhead positions.
- Operate safety equipment and use safe work habits.
- Recognize, setup, and operate hand and power tools common to the welding trade.
- Weld separately or in combination, using aluminum, stainless steel, cast iron, and other alloys.
- Must be detail oriented and able to see details at close range.
- Work involves close tolerance assembly on all phases of welding.
- Works from prints, specifications and other written or verbal instructions.
- Ability perform multiple tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously while performing various other duties as assigned.
- Other duties as assigned based on productivity needs.
Job Specifications
- High school diploma or GED
- ASME Recognized Welding Certification or Four (4) or more years’ welding experience
- Uses all tools, fixtures and equipment necessary to the performance of the task
- Demonstrated written and verbal communication skills
- Three (3) or more years in a manufacturing setting
Physical Specifications
- Standing for extended periods on hard surfaces
- Physical stamina and strength to lift heavy items, up to 75 pounds
- Continuous movement; reaching, pulling, lifting, bending stooping, standing
- Visual abilities; close and distant vision, color vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus
